if you feel like you need to leave your earthly confines momentarily, then i'd definitely recommend taking the wonderfully woozy et hallucinogenic, jangly, reverb-rippling, acid folk trip Christopher, from New York-based psych-pop/folk experimenter Damon McMahon aka Amen Dunes off the brilliant new album "Through Donkey Jaw" (2011).

check out the absolutely stunning, tripped-out, Jonas Mekas-esque, experimental 8mm video for Christopher, directed by Kenny Curwood. what you are about to witness is a rare audiovisual experience, a sublime marriage between sound et image!
the "Through Donkey Jaw" album is out now on Sacred Bones, available on cd or lp. there is also a special vinyl edition version with a hand-silk-screened wrap-around sleeve, it is a very limited edition item, only 150 hand numbered copies are in existence, so get in quick! you can also get it from Insound, vinyl copies come with free digital download.
i'd also recommend checking out Amen Dunes earlier albums "Dia" (2009) et the "Murder Dull Mind" EP (2010), both available from Insound on either cd or lp! "Dia" is available digitally from itunes.
