next up is the devastating new leaden, melancholy-swooning, country-tinged epic, Coming Down from LA-based all-girl garage-pop revelers Dum Dum Girls off their eagerly anticipated sophomore album "Only In Dreams" (2011).
Coming Down is a hazy et solemn, ponderous, nostalgia-laced dirge, filled with dizzying, cavernous reverb, et Dee Dee's captivatingly intimate et fervent, lamenting vocals which break through the thick haze et take flight, reminiscent of Chrissie Hynde {The Pretenders}. Coming Down could best be described as an emotional aftermath, an experience that leaves you numbed, feeling groggy et hungover, with the echoing of a melancholy guitar still ringing in your ears et a visceral sense of loss.
